What You Need to Know

     I started this blog for a couple of reasons, one being that I love writing. Ever since I have fallen in love with literature, specifically poetry, I have always dreamed of publishing my own book with original poems and original illustrations. I started this blog during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, during my middle school years, and continue it now during my high school years. This engagement encourages me to write much more often and this blog acts as a way to track my progress in fulfilling my dream. An advantage for my readers is that you are all able to read some of my poems and get some inspiration. I also write about recommendations for novels, poetry books, and much more. Not to mention all of my suggestions for using certain strategies to combat writer's block. 

     Ever since I was little, I would always love anything sweet. I can eat sweet dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I can eat many spoonfuls of sugar in one go! This is the main reason why I named my blog "Poetry & Sugar”. I often succumb to my love for sweets, so I also like to make pastries and desserts. This title really resonates with me because poetry is my sugar, and as I mentioned before, I absolutely love sugar.
